Each package covers the things that are hard to arrange on your own: return flights to Saudi Arabia, your visa, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, and every transfer in between. You choose how long you stay, how close you want to be to the Haram, and which UK airport you fly from. We handle the rest.
Al Meeqat Travel has been arranging Umrah for British Muslims for more than 20 years. The 2026/27 Umrah season is open now and runs until the Hajj closure in March 2027, so there is still time to travel this winter, over the Christmas holidays or in Ramadan.

The star rating matters less than the walk. In Makkah you will go to Masjid al-Haram five times a day, often in heat and crowds, so the distance from your hotel shapes the whole trip.
3 star Umrah packages use clean, simple hotels around 700 metres to 1 kilometre from the Haram, such as Nawazi Ajyad and Areej Al Falah in Makkah. Expect a 10 to 15 minute walk. This is our cheapest option and it suits fit, younger pilgrims who are happy to walk.
4 star Umrah packages cut the walk and add more comfort. Hotels like Mobark Plaza in Makkah and Al Rawda Al Aqeeq, about 300 metres from Masjid an-Nabawi, give you bigger rooms and better breakfasts at a fair price.
5 star Umrah packages put you at the gates. Al Marwa Rayhaan sits around 50 metres from the Haram and Swissotel Al Maqam around 80 metres. For elderly parents, people with mobility needs or anyone who wants to pray in the masjid at every salah, the extra cost is often worth it.
The rites of Umrah take a few hours. The rest of your time is for worship, rest and Madinah.
London Umrah packages have the widest choice of flights. Most London pilgrims fly from Heathrow, which has direct flights to Jeddah of around six hours. Gatwick and Stansted have one-stop options through the Gulf or Istanbul that can work out cheaper. If you live in East London, Luton or the Home Counties, we can price all three airports and show you which is best value for your dates. Ask about early morning or late evening departures if you want to avoid taking extra days off work.
Manchester Umrah packages are popular across the North West. Manchester Airport has direct flights to Jeddah, so pilgrims from Manchester, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Blackburn and Preston do not need to travel south. For one-stop routes we compare connections through Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Istanbul. Direct seats sell out fast in school holidays and Ramadan, so book Manchester departures early.
Our Birmingham Umrah packages fly direct where possible. Birmingham Airport has direct flights to Jeddah, which makes it the easiest choice for pilgrims in Small Heath, Alum Rock, Sparkbrook, Coventry, Walsall and Wolverhampton. The flight takes just over six hours. If the direct dates do not fit, we can route you through a Gulf hub or from London and arrange the rest of the package around it.
There are no direct flights from Scotland to Saudi Arabia, so Glasgow Umrah packages use a one-stop flight, usually through Doha, Dubai or Istanbul, or a connection through London. Pilgrims from Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen can fly from their local airport the same way. Scottish school holidays fall on different dates to England’s, so tell us your council area and we will plan around your break.
Bradford Umrah packages give Yorkshire pilgrims two good choices. Pilgrims in Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Halifax can fly from Leeds Bradford Airport with a connection, or take the short trip to Manchester for direct flights to Jeddah. We will compare both for your dates. Many Yorkshire families travel together, so ask about family rooms and group rates if several households are booking.
